Prof. V. Kannan

Prof. V. Kannan has obtained his B.Sc.(Chemistry), M.Sc. (Applied Chemistry- Spec. in Polymer science & Technology) and M.S (Chemical- High Polymer Engineering) from IIT Madras, India (1982).

With a teaching experience of 40 years, Prof. V. Kannan superannuated from Reliance as a Consultant in the plastics Technical Training/Business development/ Market survey. He has been a head for the Petchem Academy, Vice President of Market Development for PP and technical service in PP, PE & PVC in Reliance Industries Ltd. (1996- 2019).

Prof. Kannan has developed around 40 e-learning courses and has organized several ILT programs both internal and external. In the sectors of Polymer, Polyester, Elastomer, Aromatics & Fiber intermediate products, he has handled areas of non-woven, geotextile, bulk packaging, rigid packaging, thermoforming, injection moulded products, hygiene products, PPR pipe, PE film, PVC pipe etc.

2) Areas Handled – Packaging, Pipes, Profiles, PVC compounding, Houseware & industrial products, Fiber & filament, Electrical, Coating & Testing etc.,
